I am currently a full-time student who studies A-Level maths, physics and product design. When mentoring students I like to be very subject and person specific and ensure they fully understand each piece of content before moving onto the next.
My method will depend on what the student wants to get out of a lesson. For example: if exam technique is primarily what the student wants to improve from tuition, I would pick out a few difficult problems from previous exams/textbooks to work through together.

I am using modern teaching methods to make the lessons as interactive as possible and I make sure that the students enjoy themselves and have fun while learning new skills. I am flexible and I tailor my teaching style to each individual student.
My sessions are always tailored to make them personal to the individual student. This may involve a concentration on central concepts, exam technique, or knowledge outside the scope of their course. Most important to me is that we take the sessions at the students own pace so that they always understand the principles.
I am lifelong learner, avid reader and a problem solver.
My teaching method is a pupil-centered, discussion-based one. I base my classes on real-life examples. I approach each topic by paying attention to finer details which are often missed out in textbooks.
They way I would teach maths and physics is by the student choosing an area of which they struggle in, or a certain type of question they find hard, go to the basics of how the questions should be answered and give the sufficient knowledge to answer similar ones in the future. If time is on our side then more time could be spent learning the key areas needed to achieve a high grade in the exam.
I do not only teach but I always try to share my passion for the topics I am teaching. My students learn to solve their questions on the topics but they also learn to love the subject. A good mood and curiosity always improves the understanding.
I am student studying at City University London for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I can cover all topics from GCSE Maths, Physics and Chemistry from all examination boards and be adaptable to the style of studying a student prefers. I am also open to teaching younger students who require guidance for SATs examinations as well.
Teaching at schools/colleges is not always sufficient as all students learn in different ways and all teachers teach in different ways. My aim is to help a student understand the concepts rather than pure facts; true understanding of a subject entails an appreciation of its uses.
