I am an experience tutor in a wide range of sciences and maths courses from secondary school to A-level. I graduate with a high grade in MSci Geology at the University of Bristol, so i'm happily to teach about Geology and Earth Sciences in general.
I will only give lessons in subjects and to levels I am comfortable with. These currently include Chemistry, Maths, Physics, Geography and Geology (or related subjects) at GCSE level; Chemistry, Maths and Geology A-level; and Geology undergraduate level. I am happy to help with university admissions including personal statements and interview preparation.
I tailor each tutoring session to suit the individual needs and requirements of the student or students, allowing the student to get exactly what they need from the session.
I can offer lessons to those wanting help with GCSEs or secondary work. I can also help primary students who are struggling. My tutoring is fun and aims to make the work interesting and relatable as opposed to boring and making it feel like work. I have a brother with dyslexia so I can try and help cater to those sorts of needs as well.
Physics (up to "A" level is EASY! But, too often students end up feeling it's impenetrable and unaccessible. It's time to show them otherwise! Sessions are geared to the needs of individual students. Initial session is an assessment, based on past paper examination questions on the work each student has already covered.
I am an experienced Aircraft Stress Engineer working for Airbus UK. I have been educated up to Post Graduate degree (MSC Aerospace Engineering from Cranfield University UK). My teaching methods are very simple and practical approach to convey the subject efficiently.
I am currently a Year 11 GCSE student. My GCSE grade have been really satisfactory, having, currently, A* for the 3 Separate Sciences (half of the GCSE, since the other half is due this year). I have already got a B in Maths Intermedium Paper and Numeracy, however, I am sitting the Higher Tier this year and I am currently working towards the A* grade for Maths and Numeracy.
Qualified Physics teacher with exceptional communication skills. I am very down-to-earth with a track record of getting the best out of all of my students. Warm & friendly with excellent subject knowledge, I build students' confidence to achieve. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Science KS3 Physics KS4 - Tell me about your qualifications.
I use problem based learning, I find the best way to teach something is by example as fundamentally we all learn by doing. This philosophy has come from my experience as an oarsmen, rowing coach and ski instructor where you learn simply by doing it over and over again using slightly different exercises to allow you to feel any change you make. I believe this can be applied to academic tutoring.
I teach Maths and Science to primary school students who need extra support outside the classroom. I believe it is important to be patient with children who may otherwise struggle with mathematics and Science and I can help them grasp the fundamentals which they will need in the future.
I adapt my methods to individual needs but mainly gentle, challenging and optimistic.
I will start by asking the student what they are working on and what they would like to achieve, asking about strong topics and weak topics. This will all be prior to the first lesson, I will come prepared with example exam questions to practice on.
I empathise with students who struggle with mathematics and always tailor my teaching around the individual (rather than the other way around). I sometimes feel schools rush through the curriculum without ensuring all students are happy and confident. I therefore work at the students pace and ensure he/she knows all the core principal concepts before tacking the more complex problems.
I received all A*s at GCSE, would be very willing to help and tutor in all, since I believe that what truly helped me succeed is my revision techniques and methods- I have taught previous students in my year in the past, helping them improve their grades by 1 or 2 at least- and think that every student, no matter their ability, can improve massively by knowing exactly what to learn and to write!
