I can offer lessons to those wanting help with GCSEs or secondary work. I can also help primary students who are struggling. My tutoring is fun and aims to make the work interesting and relatable as opposed to boring and making it feel like work. I have a brother with dyslexia so I can try and help cater to those sorts of needs as well.
I adapt to different students teaching both through games and typical classwork. Each lesson I like to teach a different topic so ask my students to provide me with a list of things to cover in the next lesson so I can prepare.
We all know maths. Its surround us in everyday life. I love to help others. And I love to study maths. I think that earn knowledge without sharing with others is an empty knowledge. The chance to help somebody and shearing my experience with them, is giving me a lot of satisfaction and even more motivation to keep doing it.
I am currently a Year 11 GCSE student. My GCSE grade have been really satisfactory, having, currently, A* for the 3 Separate Sciences (half of the GCSE, since the other half is due this year). I have already got a B in Maths Intermedium Paper and Numeracy, however, I am sitting the Higher Tier this year and I am currently working towards the A* grade for Maths and Numeracy.
my method is to help students in GCSE revision and work to a method that suits them. I will work out how they best learn and adapt to that. for example I can work with visual learners by helping them to do mind maps or drawings whilst revising a topic.
I prefer to introduce a topic with definitions and try to use only these to answer every possible question. That way there is much less to learn instead of learning every particular example. That way proficiency in the subject come much quicker.
Very experienced teacher and lecturer with 27 years experience in schools and colleges. Specialism is IT/Computing and can teach this up to A level or similar undergraduate level. I am also happy to teach maths and physics up to GCSE level.
My teaching method is to find out what my student struggles with and start by learning the basics of each topic then fully revising all topics needed for a specific test or exam.
My teaching method depends on the individual I am teaching. Generally I will go through the syllabus and each week we will go over a topic and then do exam questions based on that topic.
I use problem based learning, I find the best way to teach something is by example as fundamentally we all learn by doing. This philosophy has come from my experience as an oarsmen, rowing coach and ski instructor where you learn simply by doing it over and over again using slightly different exercises to allow you to feel any change you make. I believe this can be applied to academic tutoring.
I teach Maths and Science to primary school students who need extra support outside the classroom. I believe it is important to be patient with children who may otherwise struggle with mathematics and Science and I can help them grasp the fundamentals which they will need in the future.
I can tutor Chemistry up to University level and Mathematics up to A-Level. My teaching methods are unique to each individual that I mentor, which will be discussed at the beginning of tutoring to help achieve best results. I believe best results come from revising content of the course and following this revision with past paper questions.

- Classes Every student has a programme that is built just for them. They concentrate on getting to grips with topics that they are covering in school whilst also working on a parallel thread that is put together to fill any gaps that may exist in their core skills. * The MagiKats programme supports the National Curriculum. * More than tutor 'hot-housing' and more than learning by rote.
I empathise with students who struggle with mathematics and always tailor my teaching around the individual (rather than the other way around). I sometimes feel schools rush through the curriculum without ensuring all students are happy and confident. I therefore work at the students pace and ensure he/she knows all the core principal concepts before tacking the more complex problems.
I received all A*s at GCSE, would be very willing to help and tutor in all, since I believe that what truly helped me succeed is my revision techniques and methods- I have taught previous students in my year in the past, helping them improve their grades by 1 or 2 at least- and think that every student, no matter their ability, can improve massively by knowing exactly what to learn and to write!
I enjoy teaching in smaller groups, or one on one. This is just so I am able to spend adequate time with each student, making sure they are able to learn the topic we are looking at.
