Learning art can be wonderful and overwhelming at the same time: I'm here to help with basic skills and art history knowledge all the way to helping with preparing portfolios and entering into art schools.
I have an extensive knowledge and experience that I use to analyse art and to provide (constructive) feedback to my students on how to improve their drawing and painting abilities. My lessons are always tailored made and focused on student’s ability, aiming to create right drawing and painting habits and change the way my students think about art.
My teaching methods are all about encouraging students to explore and experiment with their choices of subject and medium. I challenge them to recognise that we often draw or paint what we expect to see not what we actually see. It's good to throw out the rule book and create outside your comfort zone. I will always encourage students to really stretch their capabilities.
My name is Cata, a Fine Arts graduate, with an MA in Gallery Studies (Curating), and previous experience in art shows and opening a small art gallery. I have thought in art departments in 2 schools . My focus is on sculptural methods and installation, but not limited to it, I have been involved in art performances and video work.
Private art lessons tailored individually for each student, my classes consist on the development of one's art practice and talents, fun engaging art lessons incorporating art history as a learning methodology. My lessons lay a special emphasis on painting and sculpture techniques and different approaches.
I am sculptor, painter and designer of porcelain objects, jewellery and paper urns. I studied figurative sculpture at Faculty of Fine Arts, UT Brno, Czech Republic. My lessons are for young people who want to pass successfully entering exams to Art Academies and Art High Schools. Anybody else who is interested in realistic drawing can join my lessons, too.
Hello! I am currently studying for my masters in Mixed Media textiles at the Royal College of Art and last year I graduated from Edinburgh University, where I graduated with a first class Hons.
My teaching method is based on emphasis, through an understanding of the individual I am then able to approach in a really comfortable way. I tipically always start from a brief of the topic, following by examples or demonstrations to finally reach a experimentation of it.
I am interested in tutoring students of all levels from GCSE to undergraduate level in art and design. I want to help students broaden their understanding of techniques and encourage the development of concepts. I understand that every creative process is unique and I adapt to each student's requirements.
I enjoy teaching skills. From soldering to welding, metal work, simple engineering, simple electronics, electromagnetics, short cuts, tricks and more. Based on years of experience teaching infants to post graduates, I allow the student to develop their concept offering advice and guidance along the way to realise their vision.
