Looking to tutor from Secondary upwards to undergraduate degree level in areas of History.
I approach each topic by considering contexts that are familiar to the children but still can be applied to the focus of the sessions, using books that they would enjoy reading to try and make it both enjoyable and educational at the same time.
My sole focus is to teach the contents of the curriculum, to help give students a little extra support if they require. I can help with homework, or offer support in any area which needs improvement. Therefore, working with children from the ages of 4-11. Previous lessons have included phonics, reading lessons, maths based lessons and much more.
I am a hardworking, motivated individual dedicated to giving students a helpful and fun way of learning. I have good GCSE and A Level qualifications and a university bachelors degree in History. I will work with students from 11+ up to GCSE and A Level. I aim to use official textbooks to structure the lessons and add my own techniques which I found useful to use as a student.
I base my classes on the weaknesses of the student and what they would particularly like to improve on and therefore, I allow the student to take full control on their learning in an empowering manner. I also aim to motivate the student and encourage them to reach their fullest potential.
Although I have never personally taught a class, I have been tutoring my siblings for years and have always kept a calm and approachable manner, I believe it is important to show the student that they are not wrong, but need direction and a different approach to looking at things in order to help them make sense of the situation.

I have never taught or tutored before so I would let the student inform me of how they like to learn. I myself am a visual learner so I may try to go over things that way. Being a student myself, I am able to tutor children ages 10+ up to GCSE level currently. Then I teach how to make esay sentences and how it should be read correctly with right pronounciations. For advanced people I use the efficency method and I give tips to write outstanding official letters/ emails for professional use.

I am a hard-working, creative and conscientious student, studying English Literature and French at Bangor University. I would be interested in giving lessons to students studying for their GCSEs. Although I have never taught previously, I would use interactive games that would enable the students to enjoy the lessons whilst simultaneously learning the content.

For example, when teaching school pupils I tend to follow their school's curriculum in order to provide a useful and practical service that benefits them the most. I teach the kids by trying to find a point of interest for them. This way they are engaged more and have a more enjoyable learning experience. This is more likely to get them self motivated and more eager to learn in the future. I like to break things down for children into easily digestible chunks, to avoid them being overwhelmed.

I am currently expected to graduate from the University of Liverpool this year with a Bsc in Psychology. I'm finishing my bachelor's degree and starting my master's in September. I currently tutor GCSE English language and literature. I think success is all about enjoyment and confidence. My teaching method is as simple/complex, as informal/formal as the needs of my students. However, my teaching is more academic and theoretical in approach, 40 minutes long per session and this is split into two 15 minute slots with a ten minute break after the first 15 minutes. Having done this, I then listen to and acknowledge their ideas before nurturing them to be the best they possibly can.
