About Murray
I have worked with over 12,000 clients and students. I truly enjoy what I do and my style includes informality and friendship while having a clear objective for each client/student. I have been elected to public office numerous times as a member, vice-president, and president of my local school board. In fact, I was elected to be school board vice-president three times and president three times. I have hired teachers, principals, and superintendents and I am confident in my skills and methodology in hiring and supervising students, teachers, and educational professionals. In my law practice and teaching style, I often mention that my four years of teaching first and second grade have led to all of my success. I break things down into manageable building blocks and I am known for making even the most complex subjects understandable with a goal of clear student success.

I have been teaching and practicing law for over 40 years. My specialty is working on-on-one with students to ensure that they have the essential building blocks to proceed from one level to the next. I have taught individuals ranging from Kindergarten to post-doctoral.
My typical lesson plan is to first assess the current skills of the student in the chosen subject.
I next set clear and achievable goals and state what the objective is for each lesson. I then outline the steps we will be using to meet the goals.
Although I have taught over 12 different subjects, my strengths are English and Social Studies.
What sets me apart in that I have a Juris Doctor degree in law from Rutgers University School of law and I was counsel to the Pennsylvania School Boards Association. In so doing, I honed my writing and teaching skills. I have lectured before numerous professional groups in law, literature and writing. I also have a Bachelors and a Masters degree in education.
But what I enjoy most is the one to one interaction with students at all levels to help them to achieve the best outcomes possible in their subject area.
