About Luiza
I am a recent graduate of a B.A. in Humanities, the Arts, and Social Thought at Bard College Berlin, with a concentration on Literature & Rhetoric. Reading has been a lifelong passion of mine, but this didn't mean I had an easy time of it in school; it was only the more personalized experience of college that finally made the method make sense for me and brought me from a 5 out of 7 in the IBDP to a 3.9 GPA at uni, where I even worked as a Writing Tutor. More than anything, I'm passionate about making sure other students have the support I couldn't find back then.

During my experience as a Writing Tutor in Berlin, I was trained to hone in on a student's understanding of language and literature as a way to develop their critical thinking and commentary skills. This means my method focuses on the student and their issues, as we spend one- to two-hour sessions discovering the obstacles they may be facing in reading and writing as regards literature and the humanities. Based on our joint assessment of these, we can start tackling the texts in a way that makes sense to each student and solve any issues with language along the way. These sessions are best suited for Junior Cycle students and above.
