About Lydia
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have delivered lectures at the European Popular Culture Conference, the London Science Museum and various private member's clubs around the country. I regularly give workshops to small groups and within my studies public speaking and presentations are a frequent occurrence. I used to be petrified of any form of public speaking, however I managed to conquer my fear with practice and the use of various techniques. I can help you do the same.
With proofreading, I have been in academia now for over 10 years and have been proofreading other student's work for around 5 years.
For those looking for writing support, I can help you get to grips with what the examiner is looking for, how to formulate an argument and construct a beautifully written essay.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I do not have a DBS Certificate.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach public speaking and interview skills for those looking to gain confidence and achieve that new job role, promotion or place at University. I do a lot of public speaking myself and have helped many students with their technique, projection, body language and - most importantly - their confidence!
I offer academic proofreading for essays and dissertations and I also provide writing support for those looking for more guidance and advice with their essays.
Within Art History, as well as one-to-one tuition I also offer specific courses that focus on a particular era, movement, artist or even painting for those wanting to gain in-depth knowledge in an area of their choice.

I have a First Class Honours Degree in History of Art from the University of Leeds.
I have Masters Degree (with Distinction) in the History and Culture of Fashion from the University of the Arts (London College of Fashion).
