About Peter
I am a marine biologist with 6 years of experience. I have taught subjects ranging from introductory level, general biology courses to upper division biostatistics. I enjoy classroom teaching, but my passion is for one-on-one instruction, and the ability to focus on students' individual needs and interests which that offers. In addition to teaching subject content, I can help students write and revise papers, program and use scientific software, and develop research skills, all of which can help them beyond the field of biology.

My teaching style is flexible; I can focus on the core concepts that are important to understanding a subject or teach to specific tests & standards based on the student's goals.
My perspective is informed by my professional work in biological research, experience as a graduate student, and teaching methodology from college biology classes I have taught.
I also have four years of experience creating scientific software, and teaching coding/data analysis skills (such as R) is my favorite area.
My lessons are for anyone studying biology college or below, both majors and general education.
