MSc in Biology (Integrative-Biosciences) from University of Oxford with more than 7 years of tutoring experience offering my first lesson absolutely free. I give the tutoring according to student needs and capabilities. I give students the work plan to reach A grades. I tutor Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths from KS2 upto A-levels.
I am interested in tutoring within biology at all levels of high school education. My lessons would be structured around the course plan, focusing on the areas the student finds difficult. My methodology is focused on diagram usage and real-life applications of the information to heighten the interest the student has for the subject.
My teaching method is one-to-one personal tutoring with a specialised focus on ensuring a person's learning and understanding of a subject/topic is met no matter how long it takes. I believe in nurturing learning confidence is key to achieving higher grades.
I would approach student as I wish tutors would approach them to give tips on how to study "smart" without overwhelming. At the moment I believe my level is more suitable for level 1/ year 1 student in biology and chemistry or below highers advance. I am patient and joyful when tutoring, so would happily teach students at lower levels( i.e secondary school or lower).
my teaching method is to approach leaning in a fun and understandable way, even if you have understood something I have said, I will repeat it in a simpler way to make sure it stays with you. I expect you to put in work. if you put in work, I will put in 10 times as much work.
My lessons are suitable for any type of student who wants to improve in biology and chemistry. The lessons structure can be very flexible and adapted to any needs for the best result possible. Please contact me at (concealed information) for any further information.
I believe in customizing the lesson and a lot of out of the box tricks to make it both fun and effective for students to learn Arabic/Hebrew. Passionate about International Relations and Global Affairs that no mat-ter how hard the subject may seem for you I'll infect you with my pas-sion and you would enjoy the lesson.
I begin the first lesson with long term objectives and a desired date you'd like to meet them. If you're phased by deadlines we will still set objectives and assess whether we've met them as we go along. Objectives can change each lesson or over a few lessons.
I think the best way to learn, is through conversation. Especially with a heavy content subject like biology, the best way that I revised and memorised my materials during my degree was through talking to my friends about it. Despite the vast amount of memorising required, there is beauty in biology.
My 'teaching method' depends heavily on the student, who they are, how confident they are and what they're aiming to learn/struggling to understand. Firstly I want to understand the curriculum that the students themselves are studying at school so I can base my own tutoring to reflect this. I want to make sure each session helps students understand a key element of the topic being studied.
I try to adapt my teaching to what best suits the student. I prefer to start from the basics and ensure a strong foundation to then build upon. I have taught a variety of age groups from GCSEs and A-Levels to 4th Year University students.
My approach to teaching is usually student-led with focussing on their areas of weakness. This may involve teaching and covering theory and/or helping improve their application skills by practicing exam questions. I encourage students to link knowledge from different areas together to consolidate their understanding.
I'm a Second-Year Vet student at the University of Surrey. The level of biology I'm learning at the moment means that I'm more than equipped to help GCSE and A-level students pass their exams. Having done my GCSEs and A-levels, I feel like I am able to provide a students perspective to the curriculum in order to help current students understand tricky concepts.
I primarily teach undergraduate and master students. I first determine the level of knowledge a student possesses to which I tailor my approach, comprising of lessons, homework, intense revisions and more. I am a very enthusiastic, patient, attentive and creative teacher.
I prefer to create practice questions to determine which areas the student is good at and which they're not too confident in. Once I can pinpoint the areas they're struggling with, I go in-depth trying to explain the how and the why, to make sure the student can understand what's going on and not just memorize it. After that, how well they understood it I can test with more practice questions.
Differentiated techniques are used to teach the students such as highlighted notes, mindmaps, mnemonics and the Roman Room technique. The Roman Room technique is an ancient and effective way of remembering unstructured information where the relationship of items of information to other items of information is not important. It functions by imagining a room (e.g. your sitting room or bedroom).
I will base my methods on the need of the pupil, but will always aim to prepare student for the exam ahead. I am able to conduct teaching style lessons , also can have more question answer like sessions where pupils can ask questions on topics.I will also go over the exam mark schemes to show to help students prepare.
I can give lessons to GCSE students and A level students for Biology. My methodology is based off explaining in a way that the students will understand and practising until they perfect their craft. For me patience is key.
My teaching method is very simple, i try to explain complex things in a most simple way so even the most mediocre students wont feel left out. I also include videos, self drawn diagrams, hand made notes to explain things to my students.
Hello, my name is Emma, a Cambridge Natural Sciences Biology graduate. I make sure to tailor my tutoring approach to each student. My overall goal however, is to make sure the pupil fully understand the information first and then I encourage growth by choosing questions that will stretch their use of this information.
I work by giving handouts and going through them thoroughly with the student to ensure they understand what is being taught. I then give "homework" based on the lesson and will mark it according to your exam-boards criteria. I can also adjust my teaching methodology to best suit the student based on their learning preferences.
Hi! I have a PhD in vaccine development from Imperial College London and have also completed an MSc in Immunology and a BSc (Hons) in Infectious Diseases. I am due to start the graduate entry medicine course at Imperial this Autumn after also working there as a post-doctoral scientist.
We learn theory at school but often the teachers don’t explain what this is relevant to in the real world. But this relevance is exactly why we study and educate our children, because we want them to be fully prepared for the real world.
Excellent resources provided and topics clearly explained. Exam question practice.
I like to use varied teaching methods depending on how the student learns best. Learning isn’t just about taking in knowledge, it’s about making a subject fun and interesting. Using videos and diagrams to aid the teaching experience are just some ways I help my students to visualise what they learn. Everyone learns at their own pace and some topics can be harder to grasp than others.
My experience in tutoring led me to a method in which teachers and students play an equally active role in the learning process. My primary role is to coach and facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material, and to measure student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment, like group projects, student portfolios, and class participation.
My teaching method is simple, anyone can understand more complex theories as long as they have a goo base knowledge. To that end I strive to ensure that my students have a firm comprehension of the basics of a subject before moving onto the more advanced levels.
My name is Melissa Hale and I am an active post-graduate student working towards a Ph.D in Parasitology and Vector-Borne Disease. I have a background in Zoology and Molecular Biology. I am comfortable teaching GCSE science Bio, Chem or Phys (up to triple award) and specifically A-level Biology.
I'm a recent university graduate (Zoology BSc from UCL), and a big believer that anyone can understand any concept, given enough time and a teacher that understands a 'one lesson plan suits all' approach is not the best way. I am very familiar with the subject matter and examination techniques of GCSE and A-level biology, having recently made my way through the education system.
My teaching methodology is three fold: 1. Create a safe space. In my lessons, there may be incorrect answers, but there are no stupid ones. My lessons are a safe space to explore and grow in your knowledge of the subject, without fear of judgment.
