About Mahum
Hi, I'm Mahum Hakim, an English teacher who believes good communication changes how people see themselves and how others see them.
I began my teaching career at Fazaia Inter College in Pakistan, where I taught English in a busy classroom and learnt how to explain things simply, patiently and in a way that sticks. I then joined Orenda (Taleemabad), designing lesson plans, so I know how to build a lesson with a clear purpose rather than just filling time.
I hold a BSc in Mass Communication from NUST and an MSc in Marketing from the University of Bath. That training shapes how I teach: I care about clarity, tone and confidence, and I want you to speak and write in a way that gets the result you're after, whether that's an exam, an interview or an everyday conversation.

Every lesson lasts 50 minutes, long enough to learn something new, practise it properly and leave feeling confident. I've taught English in the classroom and designed lesson plans at Orenda, so nothing is improvised. Each session has a clear goal and a structure built around you. My marketing background at Bath also means I focus on communication: saying what you mean, clearly and persuasively.
