About Rebecca
Hi! I'm Rebecca. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and helping others achieve their goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy learning languages, traveling, creating educational content on social media, and spending time outdoors. After spending a year living in Germany, I gained a new appreciation for how rewarding (and sometimes challenging) it can be to learn something new. That experience made me a more patient, understanding, and encouraging teacher.
I know every student learns differently, so I always try to create a relaxed environment where questions are welcomed and mistakes are part of the learning process. My goal is not only to help students improve their English skills but also to help them become more confident in themselves. Whether you're looking for long-term support or just need help preparing for an upcoming test or assignment, I'd love to work with you!

Students learn best when they conceptually understand why an answer is correct, not just how to get it. My tutoring style is interactive and personalized, adapting each lesson to a student's strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Whether we're preparing for the ACT or SAT, improving reading comprehension, strengthening grammar, or polishing essays and resumes, I focus on building skills and confidence that students can apply independently.
What sets me apart is my combination of strong academic results, real tutoring experience, and experience teaching English to international students. I earned a perfect 36 on the ACT Reading section and a 35 on ACT English, and I currently tutor students preparing for standardized tests. Through tutoring English learners from a variety of language backgrounds, I have developed a strong understanding of English grammar, sentence structure, and the challenges students face when learning to read and write effectively. Rather than relying on memorization, I teach students how to analyze passages, recognize patterns, and approach questions with confidence. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing as learners.
My lessons are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students seeking support in English, including reading comprehension, grammar, writing, literacy, essay and resume preparation, and ACT/SAT English and Reading preparation. I also work with international students who want to improve their English proficiency for school, standardized testing, or everyday communication.
