About Lily
In my lessons, we explore how math connects deeply to the digital world we live in today. I take a relaxed, application-focused approach that makes math feel practical and exciting. I enjoy helping students who think creatively — like gamers, builders, or problem-solvers — to confidently tackle computational problems. I believe math is not just numbers on paper but a vital skill for the digital age. My goal is to help you see math as a powerful tool you can use in coding, design, and beyond. I’m a Maths tutor with over 3 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Data Science. I specialize in making probability and statistics come alive through real-world examples. My favorite topics to teach are stochastic processes and Markov chains, which I use to explain probabilistic modeling in finance and biology. I love showing students how random walks and transition probabilities can predict stock market trends or population dynamics.
Over the years, I’ve helped high school and university students demystify even the most complex probabilistic concepts. Many of my students come to me intimidated by quantitative analysis — and leave confident and curious. I break down difficult ideas into simple, intuitive steps without losing mathematical rigor. Watching students grasp the power of uncertainty and prediction is what drives my passion for teaching.
