About Elwood
Do you ever find yourself struggling to turn a raw thought into a finished song? I have guided 337 students through the maze of songwriting and arrangement over the years.
Home-studio owners often bring me their best rough drafts to refine. Intermediate producers frequently ask for help with melodic phrasing or prosody.
Content creators rely on me to sharpen their hooks for maximum impact. My approach is entirely student-led because your vision comes first.
We focus on storytelling in songs to make your lyrics hit home. Demoing your ideas is the best way to see the structure clearly. Melody writing requires a delicate balance of repetition and surprise.
I also spend time on editing and rewriting to trim the excess weight. Matching words to melody is a craft we refine through constant practice. My teaching style is positive, lighthearted, and focused on making music you love.
