About Malia
I hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry and have spent the past 5 years teaching students at various academic levels. My background includes both classroom instruction and one-on-one tutoring, giving me the ability to adapt my teaching style to different learning preferences and needs. I believe in making chemistry less intimidating and more logical. My approach is built on simplifying concepts without losing depth. I always encourage students to explore the why behind each reaction, not just memorize facts. This method helps students retain information and apply it effectively in exams and labs. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading scientific literature and experimenting with simple lab techniques to stay sharp. My chemistry lessons are designed to meet the individual needs of each student, whether you're in high school, college, or university. Every session is structured to build clarity from the ground up—starting with fundamental principles and gradually introducing more advanced concepts through real-world applications.
I specialize in teaching Organic Chemistry and Chemical Kinetics, which are often seen as challenging topics.
