About Alex
As your tutor, I will always check in with you to make sure you are comfortable with what we are learning before moving on. If you are struggling with the material, we will work together to find the best way for you to learn. Learning shouldn't have to be stressful. I will work with you to make sure that you are not overwhelmed and discuss strategies for test anxiety and school stress. As someone who has struggled with test anxiety and academic stress, I am passionate about teaching you strategies to make you as confident as you can be. I believe that a student's comprehension of a subject is the responsibility of the teacher, and I will do everything I can to help you learn, and maybe even love, science.

I am a former teacher with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and a Master of Public Health degree. I have 6 years of professional experience in the biological sciences, and I love to teach! I work with any preferred learning styles and can adapt any lesson to your student's needs.
