About Emily
My name is Emily Tripp; I am 28 years old and have been teaching full-time for 2 years. Before this I worked as a substitute teacher/paraprofessional for 3 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology and General Science Education and am earning my master's degree in Science Education. I teach in a small, rural school with less than 100 students in grades 9-12, so I am used to teaching in small or one-on-one settings.

I follow the I Do, We Do, You Do teaching method where I work through a problem, then we work through one together, and finally you work on one yourself. A typical lesson with me looks like real-world examples, different ways to reach the same solution, and endless empathy. My lessons are tailored for high school students but can be adapted to middle school or undergraduate college students. I currently teach Chemistry, but am knowledgeable in physics and biology, as well as mathematics and other science fields.
