About Julius
I am a lover of applied math. I have tutored and taught elementary students, middle school students, high school students and college students. For the most part, I have taught and tutored mathematics for elementary, middle school, and high school students. For college students, I have taught algebra and calculus-based physics courses and labs. I find that practice solving math and physics words problems works best. I teach my students to recognize the meanings of words in word problems and to convert those words into a meaningful algorithm to solve problems. It's truly about pattern recognition. Once the student has solved a number of problems, a student understands how to convert a new math or physics problem into one they can solve.
