Hi, I’m Joshua, a dedicated and experienced math tutor with a background in both classroom teaching and one-on-one instruction. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and have over a decade of experience helping students succeed at all levels, from middle school through college. As a tutor, my approach is rooted in clarity, patience, and adaptability. A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in on prior concepts, followed by a targeted review of the topic at hand using examples, discussion, and visual explanation when needed. From there, we work through carefully selected problems together, gradually shifting responsibility to the student as their confidence grows. I always leave time for reflection and independent practice at the end of each session.
What sets me apart is my background as a former classroom teacher and my experience working with students of all ages. I know how to adjust my tone, pacing, and methods depending on the student's level, learning style, and goals.
