About Katherine
Katherine graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. During her college years she worked as a TA for math and computer science courses which sparked her love for tutoring and helping students achieve their academic goals. At Williams, she developed close relationships with prominent STEM professors through her role as a research assistant. She is a veteran tutor who has spent nearly two decades working with students both in-person and online. Her areas of expertise include: Mathematics, Computer Science, Spanish, SAT, ACT, PSAT, and College Prep.
Previously, Katherine worked for IBM and a number of technology start-up companies in the Bay Area and beyond. As a tutor, she strives to ensure that her students feel confident in their abilities and have a full understanding of new concepts. This approach sets students up to become problem-solvers who can dive into challenging material with ease. Katherine understands the importance of getting to know her students personally in order to develop a strong and successful relationship. She is approachable, accommodating, and easy to talk to. In her free time, Katherine enjoys spending time with her family at her grandmother's weekly Sunday dinners, traveling, and solving Sudoku puzzles.

Overall Kathrine, is a very patient and knowledgeable tutor who offers one on one instruction as well as guides you through all of the steps of a problem and how to solve it. I came to her with a JAVA project and she showed me her thought process on how to build it. Also she offers very reasonable rates. Overall I give Kathrine 5 out of 5 stars.
