About Tessa
I am a mathematics tutor with 11 years of experience and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics. My interest in mathematics began through exploring patterns, solving logical challenges, and understanding how mathematics explains real-world situations.
I believe learning mathematics should be encouraging, practical, and well organised. My teaching style focuses on helping students understand concepts deeply while improving confidence through steady practice and positive reinforcement. Every learner receives individual attention that matches their pace.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading about mathematical applications, solving advanced puzzles, and following developments in educational research. These interests help me create lessons that are engaging, practical, and inspiring for students.

My mathematics lessons are designed to help students understand ideas clearly instead of depending on memorised formulas. We begin with number operations, algebraic expressions, fractions, geometry, and percentages before moving into advanced mathematical concepts. Every topic is explained through simple English, visual methods, practical examples, and guided problem solving. Students are encouraged to think carefully, ask questions, and develop confidence by understanding every step. Each lesson creates a positive learning environment where progress feels natural.
As learners improve, we study trigonometry, coordinate geometry, statistics, probability, functions, sequences, and mathematical reasoning. I include mental mathematics, graph interpretation, logical puzzles, and structured revision sessions that strengthen both accuracy and speed. Lessons are personalised according to each student's goals so they continue improving steadily while building strong analytical skills and confidence.
My aim is to help students enjoy mathematics while developing skills they can apply in school and everyday life. Every lesson builds logical thinking, independent learning, and lasting confidence through consistent practice and supportive guidance.
