About Lara
My interest in Mathematics developed through years of curiosity about patterns, logic, and problem-solving. This passion led me to pursue an M.Sc in Mathematical Analysis, where I strengthened my understanding of advanced mathematical concepts and precise reasoning. Over 13 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students across elementary school math, middle school math, SAT math preparation, and early Calculus, helping them build confidence gradually through structured support. I believe effective mathematics teaching requires patience, clarity, and adaptability. I take time to understand how each learner processes information and adjust my explanations using visual models, step-by-step reasoning, and relatable examples. I emphasize that mistakes are an essential part of learning, helping students overcome fear and develop confidence in their abilities. Outside the classroom, I remain engaged with mathematics through continuous study and educational development. Teaching Math is deeply fulfilling because I witness students gain confidence and independence. Helping learners recognize their logical potential is the most rewarding part of my work.

Mathematics becomes far more accessible when students are guided to understand ideas clearly instead of memorizing disconnected rules. My lessons include elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, all taught with an emphasis on logical structure and conceptual clarity. I help learners see how mathematical ideas connect and build upon one another, allowing them to approach problems with confidence rather than hesitation. Lessons are calm, structured, and designed to reduce stress while improving understanding.
Lesson planning is adapted carefully to each learner’s stage. Elementary school math focuses on number sense, arithmetic accuracy, and understanding word problems. Middle school math introduces geometry concepts, proportional reasoning, and early algebra through visual explanation. Advanced learners work on algebraic manipulation, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus, emphasizing accuracy, logical flow, and exam readiness. Practice exercises are used thoughtfully to reinforce learning without overwhelming students.
Maths lessons also help students develop patience, focus, and confidence in their own reasoning. As learners gain clarity, they become more independent and willing to attempt challenging problems. Many students begin to see mathematics as structured and achievable. My goal is to help learners trust their thinking and develop skills that support success across academic subjects.
