Often, students tend to believe that they are not proficient in math. This perception may arise from receiving poor grades, encountering knowledge gaps, or even being influenced by someone else's negative opinion. However, the truth is that math is a mindset. Anyone can learn math and grasp its concepts; it should not be a binary judgment of being good or bad at it. Instead of fixating on the final grade, the focus should be on students' comprehension and their ability to apply mathematical principles.
My teaching style emphasizes developing a solid foundation of mathematical understanding rather than relying on rote memorization of formulas without comprehending their origins. Additionally, I strive to establish personal connections with students and help them transform their mindset regarding math. Although this approach may differ from traditional methods employed in public schools, it effectively alters students' perception of mathematics as a whole.
Throughout my experience, I have primarily tutored students in grades K-12, covering subjects such as algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I have predominantly worked with elementary and middle school students, and my track record reflects this focus.
