I believe that the best way for students to learn is though exercises and explaining very clearly the methodologies so that the student is able to follow and understand, subsequently demonstrating their ability. I am happy to teach anybody from GCSE level upwards and I will always provide new example questions, as well as providing new, interesting ways of tackling a subject.
I am a mathematician and a statistician living in Stevenage, currently undertaking a PhD at The Alan Turing Institute (the UK national research institute for big data and AI), Warwick University and Oxford University . I have taught students from KS2 up to 3rd year undergraduate maths.
I love to teach and enjoy watching students thrive. Having had students start struggling to achieve a pass at GCSE maths and enabling them to achieve an A grade, and helping other students achieve A* in Further Mathematics A-level, I tailor my tutoring style to my students.
Each student learns differently, and unless the correct teaching method is offered, the student may struggle to improve. Having experience of tutoring students from different backgrounds and abilities from age 13 up to age 20, I am able to understand the method that is best for a student and help them to achieve their potential.
