About Courtney
I have privately tutored high school students in Maths B, Maths C, Physics, Chemistry and occasionally English since leaving high school in 2011. I have seen my students excel in their understanding and interest in mathematics related disciplines, and take pride in their achievements under my guidance. I was a university laboratory demonstrator at QUT for first-years from 2015 - 2017, so have experience teaching people of all ages.

For lessons, I aim to go through weekly material with the students, and focus on areas which they appear to be struggling, namely using their textbook and unit outlines. I will help with homework questions and give direction and advice on assignments, mostly working through problems alongside the students. I will try to guide the student to the answer, rather than giving it to them outright, and make sure to test their understanding of new concepts through repetition. Around exam time, I often set recommended revision practice, and allow contact via skype or email outside-hours for those needing help with preparation.
