I have been giving maths lessons sine 2014. I have tutored friends/family for free however i have had 2 paying clients. One of my clients was working on a grade D, and after a month of math tutoring, she was able to obtain a grade C in her mock GCSE maths exam.

My name is Salma Hussein and i have recently finished my A levels in Maths, Accounts and Sociology. I have been tutoring maths since i was in year 11 and helping my peers. I am very passionate about maths and i want to teach maths in a simple manner for those that if it difficult to understand. I use revision techniques that i used to help me get an A* in GCSE and A level maths. I offer 2 hour sessions to cover a topic. In the first hour, i will explain the topic in simple manner, give you examples and help you answer simple questions then exam questions in the second hour. Once a month, i will prepare an exam styled questions to answer in timed condition to show me the level of progress that has been made. I can also help with homework set by the school. I'm a very simple maths tutor, i do not use fancy, mathematical terminology that will confuse students that find maths very difficult as it is. I am patient; willing to repeat explanations; and provide emotional support that will reassure students that they are capable of getting good grades. Being a student is stressful and i myself have had several emotional breakdowns as a student , so i am aware of the burden on students. I not only want to be a tutor, but also a counselor and make maths seem fun, interesting, understandable. Once the students feel confident in their mathematical abilities, they will feel invigorated.
