About Rosa
My name is Rosa Murray, I am a professional math tutor who has had 6 years of experience. My area of expertise is in the simplification of complex concepts in math and individualizing lessons to the needs of the student. My teaching style is one that incorporates explicit explanations, hands-on plans, and encouragement of students to perform well either to pass examinations or to acquire better competence in math. My lessons are the ones that will enable you to develop your solid grasp of math, develop your confidence, and see actual outcomes. And, whether you are having problems with simple algebra or you are all set to plunge into the depths of advanced calculus, I make each lesson unique to your needs, pace and learning styles.
My Teaching Method & Techniques:
My active learning style involves active participation of students into the problems. My teaching is centered around the development of deep conceptual knowledge followed by addressing the problem sets, and I divide complicated topics into small steps. I employ real world examples, illustrations and interactive techniques to ensure that learning mathematics is pleasurable and easy to relate to.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Review: Quick recap of previous lessons to ensure understanding.
New Topic: Introduction of new concepts with examples and explanations.
Guided Practice: Solving problems together, focusing on process and efficiency.
Independent Practice: Students solve problems on their own, with my guidance.
Recap & Homework: Summarizing key points and assigning targeted practice.
