About Bertrand
From a young age, I developed a deep appreciation for math and physics, encouraged by dedicated teachers who nurtured my curiosity. This passion led me to become the go-to resource for classmates needing help with challenging concepts. As a mechanical engineering graduate with experience leading study groups and mentoring teammates, I have developed a clear and approachable way of explaining complex ideas. I take pride in guiding students through their learning journeys, helping them reach those "aha" moments when difficult problems suddenly make sense. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident in their abilities and excited about mastering new concepts. I have found success with my students understanding abstract concepts leveraging their own intuition. I begin with teaching the underlying concept and WHY it makes sense followed by examples to highlight the process. In the examples, I integrate various techniques to find the best for my student's success and tailor lesson plans to them. My expertise targets pre-college mathematics and physics such as algebra, pre-calculus, calculus I&II, physics I&II and the adjacent subjects.
