About Wesley
I got a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Throughout my time at A&M, I did some tutoring to help me get through school and during the summers I worked at a Sports and Adventure Camp. At the camp I realized how much I enjoy working with and helping kids, so after I graduated I got certified to teach and taught 5 years of Middle School and High School Math (mostly Algebra and Geometry). I've since pivoted in my career and have been an Architectural Draftsman for the last 5 years. I've tutored coworkers kids since becoming a draftsman and still enjoy the opportunity to help kids with Math. My goal is to help my students feel more comfortable with math and even have fun. I do my best to empower them to know why they can do a particular math operation so they can recognize when to apply the same principal in the future and avoid simply memorizing for the next test.

I am a very patient and fun loving teacher who values helping people and especially anyone who needs a little help making some math concepts click! I like learning about my students interests and tying them in to example problems. I always keep things positive and do my best to make math fun instead of intimidating. I look forward to helping anyone grow their confidence in the basics of algebra or geometry.
