About Sophia
I am a recent Bachelor of Science graduate who has taken several complex math and science courses to earn a degree. My education has largely focused on a person-focused approach to healthcare, in which I plan on applying my skills to tutoring. I am extremely motivated to increase students' understanding in math, and to even encourage students to move into a STEM field for higher education. I understand the feeling of trying hard and still not understanding subject material so I am extremely patient with students and will work hard to get them up to par with grade standards. As your tutor, I will be extremely diligent in asking you questions about the material as I teach to gauge understanding on subject areas. A typical lesson plan might include going over homework questions, working on an assignment together, or a summary of important topics. Each lesson is highly-individualized to the needs of each student and their preferred method of learning. Lessons can be for students in elementary school until high school. I accept remote lessons.
