About Sophia

I am a recent Bachelor of Science graduate who has taken several complex math and science courses to earn a degree. My education has largely focused on a person-focused approach to healthcare, in which I plan on applying my skills to tutoring. I am extremely motivated to increase students' understanding in math, and to even encourage students to move into a STEM field for higher education. I understand the feeling of trying hard and still not understanding subject material so I am extremely patient with students and will work hard to get them up to par with grade standards. I look forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

As your tutor, I will be extremely diligent in asking you questions about the material as I teach to gauge understanding on subject areas. A typical lesson plan might include going over homework questions, working on an assignment together, or a summary of important topics. Each lesson is highly-individualized to the needs of each student and their preferred method of learning. Lessons can be for students in elementary school until high school. I accept remote lessons.

Sophia is a fun, energetic and enthusiastic person that is great at explaining harder concepts to those in need! She approaches every challenge as an opportunity to teach younger students and help them understand tough concepts. A very successful student herself, she will teach her students great study habits and will teach them short and effective tips to become better and stronger students in their desired subjects! 10/10 would recommend!
