About Moriah
I began tutoring students when I was in undergrad. I volunteered with an organization that provided free tutors to children in foster care. As I continued my academic career, I tutored on campuses in various writing centers. When I began my Master's, I became an Instructor of Record teaching ENG1101, ENG1102, and Intro to Creative Writing. As the course instructor I designed the syllabi as well as lesson plans, facilitated all classroom discussions, provided grades on all submitted work including final grades for the course, held office hours for student meetings and feedback, and attended faculty meetings to assess my pedagogical practices. Now I'm looking forward to helping students navigate academic challenges through remote tutoring.

Having been a student within academia for many years, and continuously as one of life, I know how your experience with a teacher can affect your ability to relate to and process the material you're receiving. As a teacher, I never forget that no two students learn the same way. I am genuinely passionate about what I teach. It is likely to my own folly that my greatest goal is to inspire my students to seek their own understanding of the materials, even beyond mine; for to do that they must engage fully from their own lit passion.
