About Eleanor
My name is Eleanor, but I prefer to be called Ellie. I'm 29 and I just graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with an MFA in Creative Writing. Before that, I was a freelance News Writer specialising in the latest announcements in film. I took time away from the job market in order to dedicate myself properly to my degree, and after completing it with a Distinction, I couldn't be more glad of my decision. Now, I'm excited to jump back into things, returning to my roots as a Tutor after enjoying it so much when I tutored for a year after completing my Bachelor's degree. I love reading, films, television, fashion and music; above all, though, I love to make a positive impact and help achieve those lightbulb moments!

I believe in an empathetic and individualised approach for every student. Patience is key and I'm never judgemental if certain things are trickier than others. I like to offer a safe, comfortable environment in which we can help each other to excel; you with whatever aspect of English is your targeted area, and me with enriching my teaching experience! I have experience primarily with years 4-13 as a Tutor at Explore Learning for under a year, with a speciality in fundamentals of reading and writing, as well as creative writing. That said, I'm open to all ages, and would love to help you thrive.
