About Mariella
I am a preservice teacher at Monash University majoring in literature studies and linguistics. I have been tutoring primary and high school students for 4 years. In the last year, I have tutored two primary school students and four high school, two of which are at VCE levels.
My experiences in tutoring and teaching placements have developed my teaching practice that enables me to meet the personal academic needs of my students. My past and current students have all shown great improvement in their literacy skills. Students who have completed VCE demonstrated remarkable improvements in their essay writing abilities and comprehension of their chosen texts.

My approach to teaching focuses on where my students are at and what they are capable of. My lessons will ensure that student consolidate their prior knowledge and build upon their literacy skills so that they become proficient readers and writers.
