About Anup
Hi I'm an Experience Designer and a former Banker who is deeply interested in History, Historiography, Mythology and Sociology. I made learning history to be fun for myself, and I believe I can do the same for you. To me, history is the collective memory of us as a people, and you need memory of what happened to learn from it and apply it to progress as a people. Thus it's not a mishmash of dates and names, but stories of ourselves braving through generations. To quote Nehru, history is not a magic show but for those who have eyes to see, there is magic. I intend to share that magic with you.

My classes are well tailored to make subjects like History which are known to be burdensome and boring for many students, to be a fun, interactive session filled with visual aids and references to popular culture.
My classes focus on not just learning what happened, but how it fits in to the overall timeline, and its socio-cultural and economic impact. I use visual aids like images and video clips allowing them to visualise and memorise better. I point out the practical purposes of knowing history and applying it.
History is my passion. I have read extensively, and is able to critically examine the subject. I am also focused on Historiography helping my students to understand how history is interpreted from Primary and Secondary sources as well as Archaeological findings, and to depend less on popular history peddled on social media.
My classes can be tailored to suit students (based on class and board) as well as adults.
