About Jake
With an MChem and more than four years of tutoring experience, I focus on atmospheric chemistry and environmental pollution. I enjoy teaching the chemical principles that shape our air quality. Smog formation is a major topic in my lessons, and I explain how pollutants react in the air. Ozone depletion is explored using simple steps and clear visuals. My students also want to understand acid rain and its long-term consequences. I guide them through the reactions that cause these environmental changes. Greenhouse gases and their warming effects are explained in detail. I support environmental science learners and those studying climate policy. My teaching style builds strong confidence in complex areas. I enjoy watching students grow in their understanding of environmental chemistry. Exploring the chemistry of our atmosphere is fascinating, and sharing this learning journey is truly rewarding.

My methodology in Chemistry focuses on clarity, practice, and structured growth. I cover AP Chemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, and environmental chemistry in a simple manner. Long topics are divided into smaller ideas that are easier to remember. I include targeted drills daily so students practice consistently. Practice tests are a major part of my routine and strengthen exam readiness.
Students also learn experimental analysis through real cases and data examples. Assignments are explained in a calm, supportive way. I encourage students to ask questions and develop strong reasoning skills. My epidemiology background helps me connect chemistry to real-world scenarios. My mentoring experience allows me to guide learners through stressful topics with ease.
I help students build the skills they need to achieve high scores with confidence.
