About Katherine
I taught English at a school in Argentina. These lessons were aimed at improving the students’ spoken and written English in preparation for a visit to London.
Most of my experience comes from teaching ESOL at City and Islington College.
I have a Masters degree in Professional Writing and one of my stories was shortlisted for the Sandra Ashman prize and published in an anthology.

I am an MA graduate based in Islington, North London. I offer support and tuition to students who want to improve their written and spoken English.
I like to make lessons interesting, so each one will have a theme. For example, an ESOL lesson might be about transport, music or shopping .
I also encourage students to think about the topics they want to focus on and I plan the lessons accordingly.
College and university students working on essays or dissertations can benefit from my editing sessions.
These sessions take the student through the important stage of editing their work and not just relying on the grammar and spell check features on a computer.
I also show students the benefits of reading their work aloud
