About Kensal
With over 30 years combined experience, Kensal Workshops founders Ellie & Hannah have backgrounds in music, theatre, and education.
Their unique approach to learning utilises creative and performance techniques to help students build strong exam and interview technique, as well as engage with a wide variety of literature with confidence.
Full support from 11+ through to university entrance is also offered through personalised individual tuition & mentoring.
Our students have gained entry to some of the top independent schools in and around London, and have been accepted into their first-choice universities.

We’re on a mission to change how 11+ English is taught! Our innovative approach allows students to connect with classic texts as contemporaries would have done.
Our one-day workshops cover both comprehension and creative writing, focusing on building the skills required for success in the 11+ exams.
Students will immerse themselves in the world of the story, with a different theme for each workshop, and will learn how to approach any classic text with confidence.
Our aim is that the process will also help them discover a joy in reading classic books that will last a lifetime.
