About Dan
I have bachelor degrees in physics and mathematics, I am a published poet, and I am an avid studier of philosophy, the classics of Greece, Rome, India, and China, global history, and more.
I have taught at the university level in addition to tutoring children and adolescents.
My academic research has been primarily focused on applications of information theory to complex systems, but I make a point to study all subjects both in STEM and in the humanities.

My lessons will approach both the theoretical and applied aspects of the subject.
In my lessons, you will find applications to “real world” problems in addition to seeing the beauty of the raw theory and connections as you learn that there is truly no “one subject” that stands alone.
I have experience with several types of learning styles, and I calibrate to match each individual students’ needs.
You will leave my lessons ready to both demonstrate the ability to answer questions and solve problems as well as speak competently and confidently about the subject as you find new ways it relates to the world around you.
