About Sara
I choose to be a tutor because I have always loved learning and enjoy being able to share my passion for the above subjects with others. I want to inspire my students to think creatively and analytically and enjoy a reading a wide range of texts and think beyond the limitations of an exam board. I also have classroom experience and facilitation experience in performing arts subjects and am highly adaptable to different learners.

I have a BA in French and Drama and an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice. I also hold a qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have over 10 years of experience with 1-1 and small group tuition in English Language & Literature.
I have an encouraging and personal teaching style and have a strong track record of inspiring learners and boosting confidence as well as improving exam technique and final grades. I like to get to know my students and incorporate their own interests into the lesson material to help them stay motivated and engaged. It's important for me to find out what each of my students goals are and what their preferred learning style is early on so I can devise lesson plans according to their needs and preferences. I, for example, am a visual learner and see the world through a creative lens, needing challenging stimuli to be engaged in a new subject.
