About Clarendon
After graduating from UCLA, I worked for The Nuclear Energy Laboratory until our grant ran out. Then I worked as a microwave engineer for Hughes Aircraft Company. I quit to move to Arizona to stay with my ailing father. I was accepted into the Masters program at nearby Arizona State University. I joined an interdisciplinary cognitive sciences group and graduated with a Master's degree in philosophy.
I entered a PHD program at University of California at Santa Barbara. I was asked by several philosophy departments in the area to teach logic. Eventually I was offered a tenure-track position at Bakersfield College, which I accepted. I married one of my students who eventually graduated from Cal State Bakersfield and got a job with the Army Corps of Engineers. They stationed him in Portland. We moved to Washington with our two small children. [We heard how much better the schools were in Washington than in Portland.] I was a stay-at-home-mom for several years, but then applied for adjunct positions. I was hired by Mt.Hood Community College to teach algebra, and then by Clark College to teach a variety of math-related subjects, including technical math for the Power Utilities Technology Department.

Details
Because it has been shown that students learn more by working in small groups, I will charge $9 per student per hour for a group of three, $7 each for four, and $5.50 each for five students.
