About Jason
I have worked as a math tutor both privately and in learning center environments for over 3 years. I have always believed that students, no matter their situation, have the capacity to love mathematics. As someone who genuinely loves working through math problems, it is my hope to spread as much of that passion as is possible to my students. The world is so full of mathematical influence that I can almost guarantee I can find a way to relate math to your personal life passions. Once you find the fun, the learning comes easily.

I have tutored mathematics for students from 1st grade all the way to adult students in college. I take an individualized, student-centered approach with an emphasis on confidence building. I will always take the time to make sure my students fully understand the material we are reviewing.
I am a firm believer in the power of Socratic Listening, and employ that technique frequently with my students. I can work with a student on classroom-supplied material, or design personalized study material for during and after sessions if desired. My goal is always the greatest and longest-lasting success of my students.
My areas of expertise are in the middle school to high school age range, usually covering topics like Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus. I have been successful with elementary school students, as well as with college-level statistics, introductory calculus, and introductory physics classes.
