About Aakash

Hey there! I'm Aakash, an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. I'm currently in my second semester here pursuing a bachelor's in Computer Science.
Since a young age, I've always had a fascination with teaching. Helping someone overcome difficulties was one of the best feelings in the world. Until now, I haven't had opportunity to professionally help someone. Through this platform, I hope I can help students clarify doubts, understand concepts and enjoy learning. I specialise in math because that's something I've learnt for 7+ years. As a computer science major, I am constantly using math in my classes, ensuring that I'm up to date with content. Chose me as your tutor and I promise to deliver!

About the lesson

My lessons are unique to each student. No student is the same, so I never lay out a set structure for my tutoring. However, I have a list of tasks I complete for every new student. First, I get to know their needs. This may be extra practice, concept clearing or homework help. This allows me to gather resources online. I have a bank of resources which I have used from middle school till college for all different lessons. I give students access to the materials which I think will help them. Then, I get to know the student as a person. This allows me to form a deeper connect with them, making learning easier. The more I know about my student, the more comfortable I can make them feel. Knowing them includes gauging their attention span, discussing their hobbies and bonding over common topics. This, of course, is in conjunction with focused tutoring!

Subjects:
SAT Math
Elementary - High School Math Concepts

I took classes with Aakash, he significantly helped me with math, particularly in calculus. He taught me by using various examples and encouraged me to try solving the problems on my own before he explained them. Aakash was very accommodating, ready to schedule an extra class if I had an upcoming test. This personalized approach not only improved my understanding but also made the learning process more engaging.
