About Jess
I am an Oxford University Student studying English Literature (so I am well placed to advise potential applicants on the ELAT admissions test). I hold 4 A* grades at A-level. If a pupil requested tuition on the novels of Jean Rhys, I would be especially thrilled!

A tutoring session would typically consist of workshopping an essay or project plan- focusing on creativity of thought, 'ping-ponging' ideas, and creating a well-structured argument. The student is then empowered to write the piece of work themselves outside of lesson time, to remain challenged and preserve an individual and authentic writing style. I was a 'mentor' in French to multiple students at my secondary school, have done work experience in a primary school, and am employed as an au pair, so I feel that my interpersonal skills will serve me well in a tutoring role.
