About Zara
I recently graduated with a first-class degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford. During my time at Oxford, I wrote essays at least once per week, read literature from the fifth century to the present day, and received frequent and personal feedback from leading experts in the field. To achieve my final grade, I completed both exams and three extended dissertations (my longest being 8000 words).
I am keen to share the knowledge and passion I have developed for English with younger students. I am a firm believer in the importance of reading and critical thinking and aim to instil this attitude in the minds of learners, no matter their existing relationship with the subject.

Rigorous and tailored approach to teaching English depending on age, interests and personal goals. I can help with a range of different areas including essay-writing, close-reading techniques, critical thinking and grammar. I also have experience supporting non-native speakers in achieving conversational English.
I aim to make lessons friendly and approachable and am always receptive to feedback. I am keen to work with you to find individual solutions, offering structured academic support to support high achievement.
