About Sephora
Hi, I’m Sephora, an IT Management student at university with a strong academic background and a passion for English. I achieved 99/100 in GCSE English Literature and 96/100 in English Language, and have since spent 3+ years helping GCSE students using the revision techniques that helped me achieve these results.
As a Grammar School student from North London, I understand the pressure of wanting to excel, and I am committed to supporting my students in achieving their full potential. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, focusing on their individual challenges, exam technique and building confidence before their exams.
I have experience teaching AQA and Edexcel GCSE students, including students with additional learning needs, and adapt my approach to ensure every student feels supported.
My goal is to make English enjoyable, build confidence, and help you achieve the grades you deserve!

-Location: Online (can change to in person if necessary)
-Lesson Length: 1-2 hours
-Lesson Plan: My lessons focus on developing strong, structured paragraphs that maximise AO3 and AO4 marks through detailed analysis and evaluation, alongside exam technique and confidence. I also support creative writing, including character development, character profiles and effective scene-setting. For Literature, I cover key texts including Pride and Prejudice, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls, Macbeth, as well as GCSE poetry, helping students develop a strong understanding of themes, characters, context and writer’s methods.
-My Experience: 3+ years of experience tutoring GCSE students, following my own Grade 9 results in English Language & Literature
-Students: I have taught students across a range of secondary school years, with extensive experience supporting GCSE students, following both the AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I tailor every lesson to each student’s individual needs, with more recent experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
