Passionate, fun and astute English and Maths tutor up to 13+ level

Methodology

I approach each topic individually, tailored to the specific needs of your child. I like to teach my introducing a broad, overriding concept to begin with and then seek to gradually build on it as my student becomes accustomed to the concept and grows in his or her confidence towards it.

I have been giving private lessons to 11+ students for over a 2 years with an impressive success rate of achieving an interview following the exam. I achieved 11 A*'s in GCSE and am comfortable in tutoring all the common subjects

I spent the day shadowing former executive editor of The Times and current associate editor and regular political columnist, Lord Daniel Finkelstein. The day included sitting in on meetings with aspiring journalists seeking advice, as well as the executive board meetings in The Times offices where I received an insight into how a daily paper is put together. I also accompanied Lord Finkelstein to the House of Lords where I sat in on a vote concerning the EU withdrawal bill.
June 2018

I spent a working week at PWC under partner David Severe, receiving an across the board insight into the how one of the world’s leading professional services companies operated. I spent most of my time in the ‘Deals’ section of the firm – mostly FDnA – and was put to work analysing and preparing data within programmes such as Tableau and Altrix. I was also introduced to senior members of audit section, and had a lunch time meeting with a member of the newly established split scheme to gain an understanding of how it worked.

My time included meeting with the managing director, Dr. Berenblut, working on the factory floor, web scraping retail information and maintaining product-pricing catalogues

I spent a day understanding the bank’s principle business units. My time included one-on-one meetings with members of aviation finance, risk and compliance and the customer call centre. I observed a credit approval meeting, where I got a unique insight into how the sales team pitch their ideas to the senior members of the credit committee. I also spent time with managing director Bernard Kantor and had lunch with the former UK CEO.

My local community involvement included working in a soup kitchen and distributing meals to needy families, as well as spending time at the GIFT warehouse where I pack food for distribution and help to keep the warehouse organised.
