About Caroline
I take my responsibility as a tutor seriously and strive to provide every student with a professional, respectful, and dependable learning experience. I hold a bachelor's degree in Human Services and am currently completing graduate-level education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which has strengthened my skills in communication, active listening, goal setting, and understanding individual learning needs. My experience as a writer has also given me a strong foundation in reading comprehension, written communication, research, and critical thinking. Students can expect me to arrive prepared, communicate clearly, respect their individual learning pace, and provide patient, constructive guidance. My goal is not simply to help students complete an assignment or prepare for a test, but to help them develop skills, strategies, and confidence they can continue using independently.

As a master’s-level counseling student and experienced freelance writer, I understand that every student learns differently. I specialize in breaking down challenging reading passages, strengthening writing and critical-thinking skills, and helping students approach tests with greater confidence. My tutoring style is supportive, structured, and individualized, with an emphasis on helping students understand the material rather than simply memorize answers. I believe quality tutoring should be accessible, so I offer a flexible sliding-fee scale based on each student’s circumstances, needs, and frequency of sessions. I also offer a free 30-minute introductory session for new students. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your goals, learning style, current challenges, and what you hope to accomplish before committing to ongoing tutoring. My goal is to create a tutoring plan that is both effective and financially manageable while maintaining a professional, dependable, and individualized learning experience.
