About Lisa Marie
From an early age, I found joy in helping others learn, initiating my journey into peer tutoring back in grade 4. My natural aptitude for academics led my teachers to enlist my aid during class sessions. I am proud to hold a high school diploma, achieving honors and earning the prestigious Highest Academic Achievement Award in Mathematics for two consecutive years, with an outstanding average of 99%.
My academic prowess continued as I embarked on my college education at Marianopolis College, where I maintained an impressive GPA of 3.90 during my first semester. Thanks to my exceptional performance, I navigated through the Quebec educational system, ultimately setting my sights on prestigious universities in the USA.
Beyond academics, my passion for social action has driven me to contribute to my community actively. I volunteer at Bread and Beyond, where I prepare sandwiches to provide food for the less fortunate, showcasing my commitment to making a positive impact.
Additionally, my diverse experiences in the workforce have equipped me with valuable skills. As a certified lifeguard and swimming instructor, I underwent rigorous training, honing my expertise in safety protocols, rescue techniques, proper AED machine usage, and CPR procedures. These roles not only solidified my ability to handle emergencies but also instilled in me a profound sense of responsibility.
In my most recent role as the lead customer service representative for a car transport company, I further developed my communication, organizational, and managerial skills. This position demanded sharp attention to detail, effective problem-solving, and exceptional interpersonal abilities. These skills have not only been vital in my professional life but have also become essential assets in my daily interactions.
