About William
I am a committed saxophone tutor with over 10 years of experience teaching college students. My teaching style is student-focused, practical, and encouraging. I believe music learning should be enjoyable while also building strong technical and expressive skills. Each lesson is designed based on the student’s goals, learning speed, and musical interests.
I focus on tone quality, breath control, finger technique, rhythm, and musical expression. Along with traditional exercises, I use real-life music examples from jazz, pop, and contemporary styles. I also introduce improvisation early, helping students become confident and creative players rather than only reading notes.
To make learning modern and engaging, I use play-along tracks, recording sessions, and structured practice plans. Students can clearly hear their progress and understand areas to improve. I also teach music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to support overall musical growth.
My lessons are friendly, motivating, and well-structured. Whether your aim is to perform in college events, join bands, or simply enjoy playing saxophone, I provide clear guidance and constant support throughout your learning journey.

My approach to teaching Saxophone focuses on clear learning, creativity, and student responsibility. I believe learning music should be enjoyable but also structured. I start by strengthening the basics, including breathing technique, tone control, finger coordination, and reading music. These skills are taught step by step using easy language and real music examples.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation exercises, experimenting with sound, and playing well-known melodies. I guide students as a mentor, helping them understand their strengths and areas to improve. I encourage critical thinking by asking students to listen, reflect, and make corrections themselves, which helps them grow faster and become confident performers.
Accountability is an important part of my teaching. I set clear practice goals and regularly review progress. Students are guided on how to practice effectively at home. Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach supporting subjects like Music Theory, Scale Practice, Rhythm Exercises, Ear Training, and Basic Composition to help students become well-rounded musicians.
