About Carla
Hello! I'm a qualified primary school teacher from Scotland with several years of teaching experience in both traditional classrooms and international schools. Throughout my career, I have taught students from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and I have lived and worked in China, France, Italy, and the Czech Republic. These experiences have helped me develop a flexible, open-minded approach to teaching and communication.
I speak French fluently, so I understand firsthand what it is like to learn a new language from the very beginning. I know the challenges, frustrations, and moments of self-doubt that can come with language learning, as well as the confidence and opportunities that come from perseverance and practice. This personal experience helps me support my students with patience, understanding, and realistic expectations.
My lessons are friendly, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual goals. Whether you are looking to improve your conversational English, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, or overall confidence, I will create lessons that are engaging, practical, and enjoyable.

I am a qualified primary school teacher with several years of classroom experience teaching English, reading, writing, maths, French, science, and social studies. My lessons are student-centred, engaging, and tailored to each learner's needs, goals, and learning style.
I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and confident, so I create a supportive environment where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process. I use a variety of techniques including guided practice, discussion, games, visual aids, reading activities, and real-life conversation to keep lessons interactive and enjoyable.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes long, although shorter sessions can be arranged for younger learners. I teach children, teenagers, and adult learners from beginner to intermediate levels. Whether a student wants to improve their conversational English, reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, or overall confidence, I adapt each lesson to help them achieve their individual goals.
